Only when there is a squirrel in the bird feeder. I open carry , then open fire.

I've been researching compacts all week to replace my full size Taurus 9mm, to big and bulky to carry but a great gun for shooting. I'm going to get a Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm compact this week, checked it out yesterday at a local store and it's a great size and weight has 3 changable grips. You really have to have a jacket on to conceal the Taurus, the S&W with a IWB holder fits nice and can conceal with a t shirt. I'd like to try first but from all the reviews I've read everyone loves them.

I carry concealed often . I agree it should be legal to open carry . But I just think society would have a hard time being comfortable with the practice . I have a S&W .40, carry's well although rarely do I carry it with all 14rounds in the Mag ,Gets a little heavy . It is very light when empty but that won't do very much if its ever needed . If I see someone carrying open without a uniform ,I have to admit I wonder why he would want to do that . It would be to easy if someone wanted to hurt you to surprise you by going after the gun first. Best to get a carry permit and keep it hidden . Dave

Actually, is it legal in Pennsylvania to open carry a firearm. You need a LTCF to carry the firearm concealed. If you don't have a LTCF you can open carry except in Philaelphia. (You can however open carry in Philadelphia if you have a LTFC).

Taurus Model 45-410 "The Judge" .45 LC and .410 2 1/2"
Carry one of these if you think you have the wrist for it.

Yes, it should continue to be legal. I personally carry both open & concealed. It depends where I am and what I am doing.

It is legal to open carry in CT, just don't do it or you will have problems, big ones. The permit is for concealed carry and that is what they want, no bulge or show and your OK.

What type of problems? There can be problems here in PA as well but it seems that the LAW prevails in these matters. Not what the Police seem to think (or not to think).
I use a 45 LC for deer hunting. Single action Ruger. 300grain bullet at a little over 1300fps. Great cartridge! Just make sure you have a good grip on the gun.tsb wrote:Taurus Model 45-410 "The Judge" .45 LC
Is that a handgun in you pocket or are you just happy to see me?coaledsweat wrote:no bulge or show

That's a very hot load for a 45 Colt. Good thing you own a strong gun. I use a Ruger Blackhawk in .41 Mag. I usually don't carry that for personal protection though. Too big and heavy.
