Sulfer Fumes

Are the fumes harmful at all? I had some melted snow in my bucket with the coal and when I threw it in, MAN!! what a puff of sulfur the whole basement was full. My 3 year old was down here and I got worried and brought him up.

That's what you get for throwing water on the fire!
I wouldn't worry about a puff of smoke. Just open a window next time to air it out. Be sure you have CO detectors.
