Just wanted to show the coal carrier I put together. I saw one someone made on this forum and was looking to put one together. I used a black 5 gal. bucket form Tractor Supply for $5.00.The shoot is duct work from Home Desperate. It has flat fingers that fold up under the lid. to hold it in place. I also found a cap for it. I used silicon to set the shoot to the lid. It pours nice and is large enough to scoop out and fill without taking the lid off. It's better than the 3 gal. galvanized bucket I was using. Maybe this will be useful to others.

Necessity is the mother of invention. Does the top pop off to fill it?

Yes, the top comes off. The opening is large enough to load and scoop coal out without
taking the lid off. The bucket is from Tractor Supply around $5 ,Or you can get a Homer bucket for $2.98 and lid for .98 the metal was about $3.50 for each piece at Home Depot.
I work alone and always have to come up with some kind of gadget or something to be
my extra pair of hands. Glad to hear you like it. I like it , it works. Work smart not hard.

Here's a picture of the coal carrier with the cap off.
