Well I don't know about others but 2008 has got to be the wildest roller coaster ride I think I have had so far in my life. But so much good has come to me and my family and friends I wouldn't of wanted it any other way. I wish everyone could be able to look back and say, well it has to be this way, or, that just had to happen.
So long 2008, for me and mine it wasn't all that bad.
HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone

The year 2008 will be one that I remember. It started out good and things were looking good for me and my family but in June my world was rocked and began to crumble. And after patching up the foundation it was rocked again in November. It is still hard to believe how quickly your life can change. I will be glad to start a new year and preferably with a clean slate.

the price of coal went up drastically, but 2008 was a decent year for me.......i'm still flat broke as usual, but I have another lincoln (1991 mark VII bill blass) the property taxes are up to date on the shop, the efm is working well......the alaska with the coal trol is working well too but I do not like the noise from the motors.......my best friend loaned me money to get some rubber for the shop roof......we got eight rolls for 22 cents a square foot.......i'm gonna do a bunch of work to his town car......hopefully have it painted by the all ford show at carlisle in june.
keep your chin up everybody!
happy new year!

Happy New Year! I hope everyone has a healthy and prosperous 2009.

A year ago today the word "Coal" wasn't mentioned in this house at all. Now it's a warm & welcome addition to our lives.

Looking forward to a rebound in the market this year. The 401K took a big hit moving my retirement back a few years.....

Considering how much the price of coal went up and how much my 401k went down...I should have taken the money out of my 401 and bought coal with it.

Lots of bad news, but in the grand scheme of things I have to call it a great year for my family. No one died, we had some get sick, but they'll still be here for another year, I can pay the bills and save a little.

All in all...I am Blessed.

Happy New Year! I was thinking about how I could use coal all last year, after finding this site I got really interested. I have a few tons of basement coal here and my stove is set up nicely! I laugh at firewood now! Thanks for all the help!
