I am new to coal. Can someone please tell me what is in the normal range for stoker bottom ash consistency. does anyone get all fine bottom ash from a stoker? Is it typical to have mostly fine ash paticles with a portion of small light grey and fewer darker grey pieces mixed in?

Having previously used a hand fed stove, I was baffled at the ash from my stoker at first. Yes - it's normal to have crunchies in there. I liken it to granola.

Yes, just do some searching on here for ash or ash content....but Granola grey or slightly red with some hard chunks and fines is normal.
