Stop buying Chinese. It's simple.
There are lots of folks (300+ M) in this country who want their cake and eat it too. I'm not talking about politicians. I'm talking about bucky joe citizen... new house... two new cars in the garage... four wheelers... big screen... all bought on credit. The house of cards was going to come down sometime.
I tell my wife often "everytime you step foot in a Walmart someone in Ohio loses their job". I say this half joking with her but then I think about the oldest Rubbermaid plant closing its doors... 3500 working common men and women lost jobs... all for what... 50 cents a day wage is what allows each of us to fill up two carts of crap instead of just one.
This stuff isn't rocket science folks... at least I don't think there were rocket scientists in 1776.
I get really pissed off everytime I turn on the radio or read a forum like this one. No one is accountable anymore. That's why politicians can vote themselves a big raise. The common citizen has unplugged... disconnected... forgotten his role in society. I'm guilty of it too. Go to work each day, come home and kiss the wife and hug the kids... why do I want to put myself out to try to confront issues in government that just burn my a**?
The corruption is at all levels. Take a look around. What are you paying for property taxes? I'm paying way too much for the mediocraty that my kids get each day at school (another creation of government genious). Look at your local government... the supremes ruled to allow these corrupt "common citizens" to take your land to build strip malls and condos to increase their tax base.
One of the basics of freedom (it might be the cornerstone!) is the right to own property. Tell me what you actually own. You don't own your house or land... you rent it. Don't pay your taxes on it you get evicted.
Can anyone say "Boston Tea Party"????????
We can argue for the next four years whether Obama can get it done. He's my president... didn't vote for 'em... but he's still my president. I will support him when he's doing the right thing and fight like hell when I see him pushing the socialist agenda he talked about so often in his campaign.
So instead of posting over and over again meaningless dribble about your version of what you think America really is, attend a city council or township meeting... call your state representative and tell him you are opposed to (or for) up and coming legislation (such as the new gun/ammunition laws)... call your us congressman and tell him that if he votes for pork you vote for someone else. Attend a school board meeting and tell them that you pay enough taxes and the $11 million astro turf for the varsity football team can wait.
Vote. This is the single most important thing you can do to make a difference in this country. Vote your party lines if you are really that lazy... or look at what the politicians say and more importantly DO when there is no election at stake. Then decide who deserves your vote.
Look, the fact of the matter is, one crazy farmer (mad about the price of diesel) driving his tractor into the wading pool in the Washington Mall... He goes to jail and is labelled a nut job. A million angry tax payers marching on Washington demanding accountability in government would light a fire under their butts. Two million angry skinheads with pitchforks and lanterns... Awe who cares... none of this will happen anyway. I'm going to bed.
Now stepping off my soap box.
