Should the USA have Universal Healthcare??

You all need to take a breath and step back and think what is the actual problem with Health Care.

1. Insurance company's charges are out of control-Needs limitations
2. Frivolous lawsuits need to be controlled and eliminated (a law that was struck down years ago needs to be passed)
3. Doctors need the power to make critical decisions without the insurance companys interference.
4. Those abusing the system need to be prosecuted.
5. Those who can't afford insurance such as DISABLED,OUT OF WORK need free access and reviewed on a 90 day basis.
6. Schools turned back over to states and curriculum should return to Social Studies,Reading,Writing,Science,Math
,Physical Education,History,Geography and so on and absolutely no social agenda dictated by a minority of perverts.
7. Social skills and sex education should be left up to the parents period. Our children are confused enough without
an outside force adding to it. The government has done a great damage to our children through the educational system.

in and screwed it up. Thank God for private schools but they're trying they're best to eliminate them also.


We need to fix what's broke and make it work before we throw any more money at it.

You don't believe what you just said do you? We spend billions on more on education than we used to and the kids are dumber than ever. How will they know who to vote for when they don't know how their government works? They stopped teaching "Civics" more than 30 years ago. Most people can't name their member of Congress much less their local representation. As a debate moderator told my friend during his Congressional run, "People don't care about the Constitution. An educated public is a necessity for our form of gov't. So it's in our public interest to have universal education. So we tax for that and pay for that and, as the President has promised, fix it when and where we need to. We don't abandon it or close it down.

The very same principle applies to public health. As almost all employers agree, a healthy workforce is more productive and less distracted. Why would that incentive apply less to the nation's gov't than it does to each employer providing health insurance?

The test is coming up; have you got the concept yet?

Sooo when does this miracle occur? Fifty years of Federal control of schools with dismal results. Previous to that America was on an upswing now most of the world eats our lunch. How many more decades does it take to illustrate the problem?

Stocking, it's not about "less public" it's about "more results". With the money we invest we should at least be in the top 3 in the world but we are not. When you invest your money don't you expect results? Positive results I mean. Not failing year after year. If the Department of Education was your financial advisor you'd be an idiot to keep giving them money. So why keep giving them money when they have a proven losing record?
