My puppy is arriving tomorrow. :D A little worried as its only six weeks old but I believe both previous puppies we've had were of that age and one may have been 5 weeks. Here's a pic from my last dog.

6 weeks is a little young. I thought you should wait 7 weeks before removing them from the mother unless there were issues. Is the pup on solid food yet?

It will be like bringing a baby home. It will cry because it will miss its mother and siblings. So be ready to be a mother. (you have probably been called a mother before)
Will this pup be sleeping in bed with you?
The wifes pup carried on something terrible the first night. And after about 3 hours of this BS I said bring the damn dog into bed so I can get some sleep. The dog quieted down and everyone got some sleep. But the dog has slept in bed with us since. I don't mind because she is small and she sleeps on my wifes legs.

Gambler rest assured I'm aware of the issues and more than happy to be a surrogate :) It already has vet appointment. I'd prefer to wait until the ned of the month but that is not going to happen.

The white dog I pictured above was obtained under similar circumstances and was the greatest dog that ever lived. I say that without blinking because it just wasn't me that that said it. It wasn't entirely by accident. ;)

Bishop is around 150, Cario about 125. Couple of goofballs. :lol

Here are the "boys" working hard here. Just couldn't get along without them. "Bogie" is the Rotweiler weighing in at 155, and his "bud" "Buddy" is the other "guy" in the shot. Buddy was a "stray" that we took in, and was in really bad shape when he arrived. He is in great shape now......well amybe a little FAT :o Glad that we got him, and the "boys" get along great!

I'm heading up to the HC Summers Farm Supply in Jefferson, MD for my last load of coal. Every fall at this time, I pick up a couple of cow thigh bones to put in the dog's stockings on Christmas. No pictures but the German Sheppard/Beagle mix is as big as the bone! He's mostly Beagle. It's fun to watch him. The Golden just takes it to his "kennel" (crate) and we don't see him for a couple of days. :) Have a great Holiday Season, Lisa
