Firebrick

I was thinking about putting some firebrick on the sides between the ash bin and sides of the stove in the bottom to absorb/radiate heat while the stove in not flaming hot (idle/pilot mode) maybe to give off more heat, stay hotter longer between cycles? I am going to try it and let you know.

Any comments/suggestions? Thanks!
