I started one of these last season on a "hot" topic (another place) and totaled 113 votes yea and nae out of 3000 registered members
Set out a pole to pick the new roof color of our church two years ago -- 600 members - a couple hundred in every Sunday -- caught 2 votes
Any way -- the best man won
