My Favorite Distillery

Over the past 5 or so years I've developed a taste for scotch. Of all the different bottles in the ever growing collection, my favorite is The Glenrothes.

A friend gave me a bottle of McCallan single malt scotch a few years ago. :) It was great stuff and I can appreciate the quality, but if he gave a bottle of rot gut, I would not have known the difference. I am not a booze drinker. :shots: Give me a beer!

I've been more of a Burbon fan for the past few years now ( JD, Makers Mark Etc...), but back in the day a Bottle of Johnny Walker Black or Red didn't have a very long shelf life at my house :)

My youngest son is only 20 but he's made 4 batches of Beer the last year or so ( darn good too) and he's already a "Beer Snob". I was constantly being told to try this and that and well......I'm falling into the Beer Snob mentality now as well. We have a Brew Pub close by that's been written up about and it's a great eatery as well. So I go there at least once a week with the wife for dinner and really good craft beers and Barley Wine Yum!

I keep it simple myself. I stick to cheap beer ( usually yuengling premium or busch) and either Kesslers Whiskey or Jacquins Blackberry Brandy. Once in a while I do throughly enjoy Wild Turkey or Wild Turkey American Honey.

Unfortunately I'm allergic to alcohol. I break out in drunkenness. Completely unable to stop once I start. One is too many and a million is not enough. Last drink was 26 years ago.
