Bob has the cold spot in Northern Maine, but I'm not far off and I have a photo. :) 120 or so miles South of him: In the middle, Minus 29.4, humidity is 29%

If this keeps up you guys in Maine are gonna have to watch out for polar bears. Down here in sunny Crawford county, Pa. it`s gonna be a balmy +5 maybe.

Al Gore says please everybody remain calm, this is just a temporary glitch in his agenda. Please buy tickets to his next lecture in Key West, Florida.

BREAKING NEWS! Caribou, Maine was the coldest spot in the USA this morning @-37. This was according to the Weather Channel a few minutes ago. I had colder. Caribou is 30 miles south of me! I'm at work. One guy just told me that he had -43 at 7:05am. :eek2: I'm gonna need more oil next week! :taz: :mad3:

Edit: The mail man was just here. He said that his thermometer recorded -48 a little after 7am!

The Noon news said Clayton Lake Maine was minus 44 last night. He also said they are looking things over and will announce on tonight's news.... they think a different spot may have set an all time low for the state. Yup, this global warming is wreaking havoc!

Noon: PLUS eight! Wooohoooo!

I used an extra 5 pounds of coal last night compared to the other nights this week. By weighing the ashes, reverse math says I burned 67.7 pounds. I'm happy as heck!

just now on the news "Big Black Lake" in Maine, a low of minus 50. I don't know where that is.

-7@8am but is +2 now as I changed the fuel filter on the big Izusu a few min ago. Somehow that diesel fuel on the raw skin makes it feel a wee bit cooler tho...... 8-)

I am off to put the new(to me) DF520 in the big shop for a inspection and restore, if the loader starts up to get it out of the truck!!
