I'm so glad I found this site...it is very helpful. I just replaced the rope gasket on my ash door & wonder how long I have to wait before I restart my stove>

Depends on the glue, if it's stuck on there good, fire it up. Most have a few+ hours cure time, the heat will help it cure faster too. I would at least wait a few hours or more depending.
