To be honest, I like getting older. Physically it can be a drag, but really a better deal over all. ;)

Interesting data - the average age from the first 2 pages of replies = 47. Not too many coal users in their 30's, even fewer in their 20's. Does this suggest coal is on its way out as a home heating option? I've read lots of stories on this forum about people "remembering growing up with the coal stove..." I wonder if growing up on the farm with the coal stove is what causes more of the older crowd to gravitate toward coal heat? Less and less young people are growing up with coal stoves in the home so maybe they don't even consider it an option when considering how to heat their homes?

Sorry if I offended anybody with my interpretation of old

By the way, I'm 31 doing my part to pull the average down

I think the data says more about home ownership than fuel preferences. You are probably not going to invest in heating
equipment of any kind if you do not own the building you are installing it in. At 47 average, most people that age would
not have a clue about coal. Maybe a distant memory of a grandfather shaking something etc.
What I find more interesting is that 631 people at last check have read this thread, yet only 50 odd posters. What, why
so shy about age? Age seems to be right up there with money, sex, and religion for the awkward conversation list. :o
