Depending on your hookup into your motors, you may need the SPADE terminals if you have the screws and a terminal block, otherwise you can use the CRIMP inline type terminals for splicing the wires.
(I just soldered mine and heat shrink tubing)

See attached. Hope that helps. :)

I have two stoker stoves, 1st. Alaska Hearth (side hopper) 2nd. home made (with Leisure line feeder) . I Haven't touched my Coal-trol in two months 74 deg. all day, 68 deg. all night ... One stove went out because I forgot to put coal in it ! Hums right along in this seesaw weather, looks like I will be able to run the stove into may if need be. Less than 5 lbs. a day at min. setting

Just purchased Alaksa Channing 3, I'm interested in gettting a coal trol for it but Alaska Stove Company said they will void all warranties if this unit is installed on one of their stoves. Does anybody no the reasons for this ? from what I'm reading alot of people are happy with this contol, it seems far better than the dail that comes with it from the factory ! It looks to me like all you have to do is plug everything in and go with out buying the extra cords. Looking for some though on these issues if any one can help thanks....

Well alaska said this to me but since I live where they make them I was dealing with the factory and two of the owners who I knew to an extent. I had to press them but they know they cannot deny a warranty claim unless they canprove beyond a shadow of adoubt that the coal-trol caused the failure. Which theyprobably can never do. Plus they don't need to know you installed acoltrol either. I have had mine running on a coal-trol for over ayear with out any problems what so ever.

My stove was two months old when I installed the coaltrol. Not worried about the warranty. It will operate much better with the digital control, just set it and forget it! The wife is very happy not to have to adjust the rehostats that came with the stove.

Alaska doesn't have a high opinion of the Coaltrol - I guess they want you to buy their inferior thermostat. The Coaltrol really will save u coal and make your house more comfortable. So far the setback has been working too. I give it two hours to ramp up before I get home. I have no idea if that is too much. When I'm off I'll test the setback feature and see how well it works. I'm totally satisfied and would suggest that everyone run out and buy a Colatrol.
