Interesting. Not nearly as much response to this thread as the ridiculous "Obama First President to Skip Heros' Ball" thread. Especially considering you have hit on probably one of the most important and challenging tasks Obama and the military faces, but one that is absolutely critical. Up until now our efforts at the border region have largely been unproductive. Pakistan has equally been ineffective at controlling the tribal FATA region, despite our backing them financially. One can only hope by refocusing on Afghanistan and the border region we can finally get back on track and actually get bin Laden and crush the AQ safe-haven that exists in that region. How we do that in such a difficult region........I have no idea
