I'm perfectly willing to disagree with President Obama when I think he's wrong. Should Timothy Geithner Be Confirmed?

This "Ball" bologna is just plain sour grapes! (I'm not asking anyone to agree with my opinion......I'm just stating it to add balance to this plainly anti-Obama thread)

Obama Snubs Nation's Heroes, Becomes the First President to Skip Ball Honoring Medal of Honor Recipients in Over 50 Years.

The way I see it, Obama was in a no win situation.

With the vast number of "Balls" he could go too, he obviously couldn't got to them all.

We are talking about Americans who have been awarded our nations highest honor, for Valor in the face of our nation's enemies. There is no excuse.

C'mon Devil, wake the hell up. This stop should have been top priority. I knew you were going to try and defend Obama on this one. Next you'll try to blame this screw up on GWB.

This makes me sick.

(speaking of GW....How many of you were willing to post against him when you disagreed with his actions, like I did here: Should Timothy Geithner Be Confirmed? )

I am stepping into the fire here, clearly to some people it doesn't matter what you say, they have chosen not to even given their new president a chance. I just wish you would be honest, just say "I don't like Barack Obama." Pretending he's unpatriotic, doesn't support the troops, or cares more about terrorists than Americans is just silly.

FYI - Obama hosted a Commander in Chief Ball, honoring the service of military families, including those injured during service, and families that have lost loved ones serving out country. But I am sure this wont count for you.

I didn't know that, it does count.

I don't agree with everything he did.

I haven't had any of the "Republican Kool-Aid". I'm a Conservative and happen to feel the Republican party is right most of the time.

I agree this not showing up at ball had more to do with time & scheduling problems than with wanting to snub anyone. Give the new president a chance.

Boy devil 505 you're sure fond of lists but once again you miss the point that he's the first (if the post is accurate), president to miss THAT ball. If you have to pick and chose I don't see how the Commander in Chief choses to miss that one. Do you have a list of ones he DID attend? Be interesting to see which ones were deemed more important.

Since you admit that........Two simple & serious questions John:

1. Why don't you like president Obama?

2. Did you like GW Bush as President?

Since it came from a right wing rag, I doubt very strongly that it is, in fact......accurate. Show me a NY Times article or even a Wall Street Journal article agreeing with that & I'll stand corrected. (it still wouldn't prove anything involving his intent (Snubbed) but I doubt that it is even true, regardless)

As far as the big picture (the election) goes:

We Won....You Lost....Get over it! :P :P

You chose to vote "present"....I understand.

You're wrong when you say "We won....You lost" There is no We or You. There is only us. The citizens of the United States of America. We all win or we all lose. The fact that you choose to differentiate We and You speaks volumes into how you perceive this country and its people.

Ever hear the phrase "United We Stand, Divided We Fall"?

Does this come as any suprise? From Barrack? No. Those who wanted 'change' are gonna get it.

If "Slick Willy" was slick, OsamaObama is the new and much improved version.

Honestly, I find it hard not to "soften" up to him, but I can't simply because of his background, his politics, his world-view and his associates from Hawaii all the way to date.

And no, I'm not a "Republican".

I am a 'mossy-backed, hard-corps, card-carrying, conservative' with papers, who is sick and tired of watching the country in which I was born and raised in, fought for, and love being sold out piece by piece by a bunch of "elitists" who believe that they have the ONLY answers and plan for America in this 'brave new world'. Forget what made this country great, the principles it was founded on, grew and prospered on, because all of that is too provincial, too narrow, too exclusive, too laughable, too outmoded for today's world, for these PC, "I'd Love to Teach the World to Sing", globalists.
