Obama first president in 56 years to skip Hero's Ball

Obama first president in 56 years to skip Hero's Ball

PostBy: av8r On: Sun Jan 25, 2009 12:59 pm

Obama Snubs Nation's Heroes, Becomes the First President to Skip Ball Honoring Medal of Honor Recipients in Over 50 Years.

Ya, I know....he couldn't attend them all. The BET ball was much more important. There were only 48 of the living 99 Medal of Honor recipients there awaiting his arrival.

Anyone know that old saw about actions speaking louder than words?

Why would this surprise anyone. He is a Harvard bred Democrat and wasn't it Kerry that implied that only the stupid ones have to go in the service?

If only this would remain the biggest problem... Be still and watch it. Shutting out all debate in congress regarding economic stimulus packages and other issues only firmly seats responsibility right where it belongs when it blows up on them.

The way I see it, Obama was in a no win situation.

With the vast number of "Balls" he could go too, he obviously couldn't got to them all.
Then....you just find an anti-Obama group to complain that he "slighted" their ball.....Simple! ;)

He also "Slighted" the following groups by not going to their " BALL

1. The left handed Yugoslavian-Americans with Emphysema Ball
2. The Spanish-American Potato Race Ball
3. (Make up your own groups)

We are not talking about
. The left handed Yugoslavian-Americans with Emphysema Ball
2. The Spanish-American Potato Race Ball
3. (Make up your own groups)
We are talking about Americans who have been awarded our nations highest honor, for Valor in the face of our nation's enemies. There is no excuse.

Agreed. If there is a good and valid excuse for this type of behavior, I'd be open to consider it. Saying he can't attend them all doesn't fly. He made it to the ones that had the big donors and celebs.

Actions/Words

Don't ask me to do something you're not willing to model yourself.

Of course. Any newspaper that writes anything critical is a "Far Right Republican Rag", and anybody who objects is a "Right Wingnut", and a "NeoCon Knuckledragger". That's why we got in the mess we're in now... groupthink. "Everybody" knew Hussein had WMD's. Even Hillary and Bill Clinton knew it. Feinstein knew it, Schumer knew it, Kennedy knew it too.

Watch and wait. No opposition and no debate. And they won't even be able to defend themselves by saying, "Well, the Republicans voted for it too."

If you think so then justify this to us. Explain how you would explain this to the folks that were at that event waiting on this man to show up?

I await your response. Hopefully, it will have more substance than your last.

As the computer says in the great movie "Wargames" - "The only way to win the (your) game......is not to play it."

Edit: Here's the exact quote:... Joshua: A strange game. The only winning move is not to play. How about a nice game of chess?

I choose not to play your "Why didn't Obama show up here?" game.

As far as the big picture (the election) goes:

We Won....You Lost....Get over it! :P :P
