My stoker (new install) is connnected to a chimney that is 26 feet high and 5" wide ss liner.
....temp outside was 35, no wind....
baro did not move at all and at full fire the manometer measured .02.....which is good...but...
this seems like a low natural draft to me.
Think I will have draft problems when the weather is warmer?
If so, how can I increase a chimneys natural draft?
Thanks

Most stoker stoves should be set about .04 at full burn. .02 at full burn seems low. I run mine about .04-.05 so I have enough for warmer weather. it usually runs .01-.02 when at idle and warmer weather.
Did you check it with a draft guage or just going by the weight setting on the baro? Should be calibrated with a manometer.

If you belive what is writtin in the k-6 manual it says .01 to .02 on full burn in the fire box and .02 at the stack.
Just checked mine Sunday AM and that's what the readings on my manometer read. 8 degrees that morn.

Not wrong just going to produce too much draft if your chimney ever gets to work. As Dave said you will need a -.08" wc for the baro to open with your current weight location.jrn8265 wrote:my weight is all the way on the outside...not towards the inside (middle) this is wrong?
I recommend setting the baro weight to the location recommended by your manual, per freestyle his is recommending -.02" wc in stack, that means the weight would be all the way to the inside. If your manual recommends -02" wc you are all set, just need to move the weight and keep an eye on things.
