But they were all too happy voting for the first one, weren't they? Don't make the mistake of choosing one side over the other. They are two sides of the same coin. The only sides are us and them. People need to get away from the two party mindset.

Don't be mistaken... I'm not for one side or the other. I was only pointing out that one side pushed this one way too fast. Hmmmm... Some emergency... Am I correct saying that only 3% of the 8.2B will be spent before 2010? This is all a ruse centered around funneling money to political pals and securing votes.

My position on taking sides? When I've heard talk if civil disobedience and revolution I look at the voter revolution as the only realistic solution to the poor government we seem to be stuck with. Turn them all out to pasture! Dem and Gop both! It's time to roll this government complex down over the bank like a, old junk car and find away to dig ourselves out of the pit we are in.

The first bill got thousands of calls. 10 to 1 against. Not only did they ram it through anyway, they did it completely unConstitutionally by voting on it in the Senate first. All spending bills must be approved by the House. The House turned it down so they gutted a mental health bill already on the agenda, tacked on the spending parts then voted on it. Then the local paper runs a story about how great it was that Patrick Kennedy got his "mental health bill" passed.

Across the river from me is Bangor Maine, (Home of Paul Bunyon and Stephan King) In Bangor was a company called Snow and Nealy. For over 100 years they forged the best steel hand tools. Sledge hammers, axes, ice chippers, splitting mauls, shovels, etc. If it were made of steel and needed to be a quality item they produced it. Well, same ol' story, 4 or 5 years ago now they closed due to imported Chinese junk. Some of us are conscious about buying American, but for the most part we Americans love a low price.

Yup... Love that low price! I've argued with too many about the death spiral of what I call the Walmart mentality. "Everyday Low Prices on Chinese Junk". Meanwhile folks lose their jobs making US goods... are then forced to go to Walmart for the cheeper goods. Poof!!! Walmart profits up XX% while the country collapses.

This isn't capitalism... It is greed at its best. 5 of the top ten Billionaires in the world are Waltons. Six family members have worked for Walmart at various levels. I have a little insight into how they operate. For me, steeping foot in a Walmart is a moral issue.
