This stimulous bill is the equivelant of our representatives selling this country at an auction to the highest bidder.

Call them! Either tell them that you like this new look for our country, or tell them to stop selling it to their banker buddies.

Interesting thing happened to me in the store yesterday. I wanted this ice chisel thing to bust ice in my driveway. I picked it up at the store and looked at it. Made in China. I said "HA! damn. China? They can keep the thing!" and I put it down and looked for an american made one. Someone in the store said "everyone needs to start thinking like you my friend and maybe this country wouldn't be in the shambles it is in".

I go out of my way to buy american. I don't care if I have to go to 3 other stores.

This country has been sold out. Gutted. I find myself, in the last 8 months or so, thinking about things that I have taken for granted my whole life. I hope I can try to keep a positive attitude, not get caught up in all the fear that is going around. I hope I can remember the soldiers that are sacrificing so much so I can remain free.

I work for a family that took The American Dream and ran with it. They are self-made and made a huge fortune. They just lost their father, who had a company with over 800 employees. He loved this country, he was a military buff, a veteran. He called me to their home shortly before he passed away. He knew he had limited time; yet he looked me in the eye and asked me how I was doing. He asked me to take care of a few chores. I can only hope to have anywhere near that kind of courage.

In Home Depot yesterday looking for new smokes for kitchen & bedroom. Back of package reads on one side, "Designed in the USA" with that familiar flag symbol seen on American made products. On the other side of the box in small print," Made in China". I'd be ashamed if I was the president of that company to have my products boxed and labeled with this bull. This is equal to harassment in my book. They are crooks.

Must be Obama's fault - afterall, he's been in office for one whole week and the Rush Limbaugh wanna-bees think he's destroyed the country already.

Did you ever find one? I wanted to buy a 'Made in USA" shovel but came up snake eyes at HD, Lowes, and TSC.

You can buy made in the USA shovels, hardware etc. online. Most if not all commercial grade hand tools are still made here.
Landscape and tree supply, farm supply, etc. Seems the price point for heavy tools is not in line with China trade.

yeah, I think I found an american made one at Agway. My girl was in a huge hurry so I am going back tommorrow to pick it up.

About the made in china thing..
I went to get a flag for my house.. made in china
I was reading an american history book at the book store and was going to buy it. While in the checkout line I noticed the back said made in china
I looked at granite countertops at a local hardware store the other day (grossmans bargain outlet), even those were made in china
I went to buy weights a few weeks ago at the store (happened to be the devil I hate and avoid), walmart. Made in china

Some of those things were heavy! I don't know how it is cheaper to get them from china.

But anyways, Out of all of those things. I purchased none!!

You know this stimulus money we have received and they are talking about dishing out more?? There should be a rule with that. It is ONLY good on american made products by american owned companies!

China and Japan just smile when we get stimulus money because they know it is coming right back to them when people spend it. Heck, last time I read something it said the last stimulus money came from a loan from China.

All of this automotive stuff hits me hard. I work for a big 3 supplier. We have laid off around 40 percent of our people!! hundreds and hundreds. I almost got it this time around but somehow survived. The people we employ also laid off half their people also. It is a domino effect that alot of people just do not understand. Buy american/domestic! Especially since your tax dollars were just loaned to them! We are all now part owners in the domestic automotive market. If they fail, it is all of our money down the tubes.

Now I buy all my garden tools from the local antique store and yard/estate sales. For less than $10 each I have bought many shovels that were made here in the USA when quality steel was cheap and high grade wood was plentiful. The old shovels are tougher than rocks.

you are correct. The government borrows money from China to hand out so we can buy stuff from China. When China's economy fails because people stop buying at Walmart and imports fall to record lows the *censored* will really hit the fan.
