Anyone heard of a hydroheat wood and coal boiler?

I have been burning wood in this stove for twenty years and was pondering burning some coal. The grate has water circulating through it, I was wondering if the coal would be to hot. When I bought the stove I was told you could burn coal. The company is no longer in business. SOL any suggestions Thanks
