Firefox 3.0.5 Problem??

Firefox 3.0.5 Problem??

PostBy: Devil505 On: Thu Jan 29, 2009 1:09 pm

I use the above browser which is the newest version of Firefox & latest updates are installed. When I goto CSPAN's site & click on LIVE TV/Radio tab, I can hear audio but get no video feed. I used to be able to watch CSPAN but now I can't???

Any ideas?

Any special plug-ins needed? Superbeetle, maybe you could list what add-ons you have installed, and see if Devil has the same ones.

Me, I'm sticking to Firefox version 2 until you pioneers get the bugs out of 3. Pioneers? .... in the computer business, we call you the bleeding edge.

There is a similar thread on a snowmobile forum. http://www.freedomsledder.com/forums/in ... ntry443010

He ended up deleting his profile info and everything seems to work fine now.

Thanks for all the info. I'll try to figure it out when I have the time/inclination to get aggravated!
I have another computer to watch CSPAN if I really need to use it. It runs XP & I use IE on it. Gets the video feed just fine from CSPAN.

Works for me however the player is not very reposnsive and it takes while for the video feed to start.

Embedding WMP in FF is a giant hassle, they should be using a plugin like Silverlight or Flash.
