Where are all the flying cars????

PostBy: billlindley On: Thu Jan 29, 2009 4:02 pm

Remember in the 80’s many SCI-FI movies showed a very dark and bleak future (at the time the future was 2000. Well they hit that right on the head, I mean the world is in a funk to say the least. My question is where the heck are all the flying cars. We should be buzzing around and beating all this traffic by flying over or under everyone else.

I don't even want to share the road with most of the Bozo's on the road, let alone have them hurtling over my head in a fast hunk of metal while they are drunk & talking on their cell phone! :fear:

When will those magical plug in pickup trucks be available? Like the one in that reallity.org commercial next to the electric generating windmill. I want to get my 03 GMC retro fitted so I can recharge it with electric like the old guy does his 90s something Ford in the commercial.Drive all over hells half acre and then load up with 3000 lbs of coal without useing any gas.

I finally figured out where the flying cars went. They were put on the back burner. They have good company however, joining them are the Dick Tracey wrist radios, the temporary added gasoline tax to help pay for the Korean War[never got removed yet deep on the back burner] and the electric meter blank off devices, [since as soon as we allowed nuclear generating stations to be built, electricity would be so cheap that it would not pay the utility to read a meter and send a bill]. There is plenty of fiction to go around especially these present times. Mike

A couple of guys from MIT have some in production....about 250K. I'll get the link posted tomorrow.

In Mass, they have lighter than air folks flying around some specific areas. Ask Smitty, he will help enlighten you.

Yes, you are correct! They are mostly located east of 495, with some sporatic outbreaks in the wealthier towns of central MA ... :D
