Make sure you cut the air back from your nut settings!
Stove burns quicker than Nut at the same air settings.

The coal does vary a bit.
last batch burned great soft easily crushable white ash, no bone, little fused ash.
This batch not so much; more bone, iron and fusing ash. Smells a bit of diesel.
Stove running under similar load and air settings.
Another, hopefully better load, arriving soon!

no the dealer i bought it from never mentioned the idea or the fact that this coal was from another company. he only stated that this coal was very good and i will love it. and it had little ash content and he said give it "more air" cause it was the size that it is. today becouse i will be gone for 15 hours im going to give it less air so we will see how this works . :) later.

I have been burning the Centralia nut size for a while now and also recently picked up some of the stove size. I find the Centralia better than Blaschak and Reading. The ash seems to break up easier in my hand fired boiler. I have been mixing the 2 sizes together to help with the airflow through the fire and it seems to work great. The first time I tried the stove size, i got a little anxious and loaded the boiler up too quickly after a shakedown and lost the fire. Now I have gotten the hang of it and would definitely recommend the Centralia.

I'm getting a ton of stove size from Centralia. I need more coal anyways, I've burned 4 ton so far. but I'm also going to be getting some stove size from Blaschak. Boy I can't wait to try it.

Just happens that my Reading dealer was out of bagged nut, so picked up 10 bags of Centralia yesterday. It seems to be smaller in size than the Reading, but more uniform, and so far it seems to be burning just fine. It is a little more expensive (about 2 cents a pound) but it was 6 F this morning so I am not going to complain.

Just to let you all know there is no such thing as a Centralia coal brand. They are a coal broker they buy from 12
different coal companies. There are only two coal companies in Centralia PA that are mining coal One is Blaschak coal co. Surface mining. The other Is UAE Harmony mine Deep mine. If you look at Centralia coal sales link you will see who they buy from UAE Is One but there are 11 other's so you really don't know who's coal you are buying & burning or if you are going to get the same coal next time around I Just want everyone to know this . Centralia coal sales co. is not a brand it is a Coal broker Co.

The coal does vary with each truckload, 23-27 ton, never a horrible difference but noticeable.
