Nope, you have less heat going up the chimney, therefore the draft will be less. The .01 to .03 at idle is about right. Mine gets pretty low on idle. Alway set the draft / baro at FULL Burn so it can handle the heat.

IMO -.025" WC at full burn is not enough draft. What does your manual say? If the baro is open at that low number then just adjust the weight, as Dave said you need to set the draft at full burn but then check it throughout the range.
Most importantly follow the mfgrs recommendations.

Seems pretty low, MOST if not all stokers, recommend at least .04 at full burn.
You get a GOOD roaring fire going, like max it out. Turn the thermostat up until you have a good grate of fire.
THEN check Draft with a Gauge and set your Baro weight accordingly to the proper settings to open (.02?-.04) to maintain the recommended settings. Don't go by the settings on the baro weight, that will get you close, but you really need a gauge to monitor the actual draft.
If a direct vent, you have to adjust the Slide Gate on the DV for the proper draft.

Did someone actually call Keystoker to find out what they recommend. I'm wondering if .02 at full burn is a typo. If you were to only run .02 at full burn, I'd hate to see what the draft is at when at an idle. If no one has called them, I recommend someone does. Better safe than sorry.

That's -.02" WC inside the firebox, big difference from the flue draft which I believe is recommended at -.04" WC. Besides it's printed in the manual for the stove.ceccil wrote:Did someone actually call Keystoker to find out what they recommend. I'm wondering if .02 at full burn is a typo. Well, on Sunday we had a windy day and the temperature was 63 degrees outside....seems I do not have a draft problem as I first thought....stove on idle for 6 hours and the draft was between .01 and .02....with wind...keystoker this morning indicated that was perfect and I noticed when I fired it up later in the evening the draft went to .02-. and .035....baro was dancing all over...so looks like I'll be selling the draft inducer I bought. Anyway, burned only 35lbs of coal yeserday, gotta love it!!

Connect the Man-O-Meter to the pipe between the stove outlet and the baro damper. Take a reading there and let us know.
