Poll: Gitmo Detainees - Involved In 9/11?

I think I read somewhere that there remain approximately 250 detainees at Gitmo who the Bush administration categorized as "The worst of the worst." (250 may be wrong but if anyone has an accurate current number I'll accept it)

I think there may be a misconception here. Let's see

The poll is simply asking people's opinion, I'm not looking for proof of anything.

No sense voting, it's a bogus question. No one has ever said that everyone at Gitmo was involved in 9/11. Many of these are captured during operations in Iraq and Afghanistan and are considered to be high value, leadership, planners, etc. Did they walk to school or carry a lunch doesn't matter. They were fighting and or planning operations against us and our troops. They are not innocents or boy scouts. Those that were questionable were released a long time ago.

The question is not bogus. I made no statements & am merely looking for opinions as to what most forum members BELIEVE as to who the detainees are & why their being held.

How does that make the poll bogus??


Edit: as far as this: "No one has ever said that everyone at Gitmo was involved in 9/11."....then please explain why 67% of the members who voted already, believe that is true??

I'm just trying to understand the member's beliefs as to who these detainees are & what we are even accusing them of.

Because you have a sample, as of this post, of 5 votes. Wait for 20 or so before you start trying to draw any general conclusions.

And you will not get any answer to your two questions, "who these detainees are" and "what we are accusing them of", based on this poll question. Perhaps you should have asked two poll questions with those two questions, instead of trying to create false sylogisms and use this as a proxy for those two very different questions.

That was not the intention when I posted the poll. What I am trying to understand is what is the basis for the extreme vitriol towards these detainees. Don't get me wrong, I know these are not good guys but I am guessing that many Americans are of the belief that these detainees were involved in the planning/execution of the 9/11 attack & that is the cause of their extreme anger /hatred towards them.

Yeah I personally, am very angry about this for quite a few reasons

I will not vote for the same reasons stated above. I have no idea what they did to get there. It is not for us to judge actually.
