Found a coalgun 500000 BTU on the scrap yard in a poor shape and an AA130 in a perfect shape. Life is full of surprises. Before I started reading this forum I did not know what a coalgun was, let alone recognize one in the snow
The AA130 is going to replace the energy king in the garage.

Ah what fun

Actually the coalgun was at the scrap yard. A stove shop in the area told me about the aa130 after I asked him about my need for a used stoker module to put into a 1940's Burnham oil boiler. he did not have one but actually called keystoker for an overhauled unit. Came back with a $1000 price tag for the stoker module , that $$ made me rethink my experiment.
He felt my "hesitation" and said then: " I have an aa130 here for $500". We got in the car, when we arrived , wife ,baby and me he was thrilled to find someone who was technically interested and took another $ 50 off.
We bought some used SS 5" single wall for $5 /foot. I thought that that was a good price to since it was not even discolored

Thank you all,
It is to late , the aa130 is still in the van. I will make some pics up tomorrow. We will install it next weekend and see if I can turn the natural gas off. (last month $ 1600)

You are darned right that you can turn off the Natural Gas! Perhaps next week, too. Great find, nice to ask a simple question and see where it leads you. You will love the AA, and never be warmer than with a boiler running in your home. Go get a couple CO monitors, make sure the chimney meets specs, find a few rugged friends, safely slip it into position, build a coal bin, pipe it up.....................enjoy!

This one has a happy ending!

Rescued from the scrap yard.

Reminds me of this post.

was at a auction outside Laraysville at a farm . 2 AA130 and 1 AA260 went for scrap . they used them to heat the barns and shop. you never know. they were in good shape.
