Hot Air Coal Stoker Stove: Alaska Channing III

Post by GettingStoked » Mon. Feb. 09, 2009 6:37 pm

I just picked up one of those kill-a-watt meters and thought those using an Alaska Channing III stove would like to know that the stove uses 131watts with the blower on high. So for one day that is 3.14 Kwatts a day and 94.32 Kwatts a month. For me thats around $10.37 a month to operate.

Our rates will be going up next year with the deregulations. 35% increase. One of the reasons I bought the stove was to save on electric heat. :)

Also, I forgot to metion that the stove runs at 67 watts on low and 75 watts on medium.
