I'm looking at the broader picture Bill, at the future of your party whose mantra has for years been..."The beatings will continue until morale improves in this country!"....& look how well it's working for you guys!!

Why do you think that is? (seriously....why in your mind has the country turned so sharply against Republicans?).

I think the money is coming from the same place that all the ira, 401, & stock market money goes. There is none. We`ve been in a false over-inflated economy for years that has been allowed to go on for decades by both groups of liers. If it wasn`t for the false economy how & to who would big business have been able to sell all the crap that has nothing to do with living but the general public has been convinced that they can`t live with-out. We`re all gulity of spending on things we don`t really need. What makes a pair of gym shoes worth over $100? Why do families that have 1 or 2 kids need a $400,000 house? snow-mobiles, motor cycles, more cars than you have drivers the list can go on & on. But I hope you get my drift the money with-out anything to back it up doesn`t exist. Just about every country I can think of owed the U. S. but no one has ever paid it back. It`s just floating out there in a never-never land.

Very true, but to truly benefit the middle class we need valid 3rd party to compete with the current one party system. There's no difference to my wallet between borrow and spend vs tax and spend, corporate welfare vs social welfare.

The democrats lost there way a log time ago they stood for freedom now they are socialists and look to increase the size of government which the constitution doesn't allow so you think nobody will notice your trying chip away at the COSTITUTION but we have and it's driving you absolutely nuts. It doesn't allow for your kind of thinking like gun control freespeech where my taxes go. So my definition of a rant is somebody that blames the other person instead of facing fact that it is a shared guilt.

I'll accept your statement that you do not condone what took place under Republican control, but you go on to claim the Democrats have "lost their way" & "now they are socialists and look to increase the size of government"....(even though it was John McCain who "Suspended his campaign" in order to rush back to Washington & socialize the debts of free enterprise), So......do you have any real explanation as to why the American voter has turned so sharply away from Republican Party & towards the Democratic one in the last 2 national elections?


Is it:

1. We have been fooled by an evil, liberal media? (if so, why have we been fooled when Fox News & the Wall Street Journal are equally available to anyone who'll listen?)
2. That the Republican Party has lost its ability to communicate with the moderates in the middle who really swing elections?
3. Democrats are just good liars & Republicans are to honest?
4. Something other than above that I just don't recognize?

How do YOU feel the Republican Party could better go about trying to win back control of Washington?

They just have to convince the people that they are going to give them free housing, health care, cars, education, and condoms. And cut taxes to the middle class and tax the rich to pay for it. Simple.

Hoover passed the Smoot Hawley Tarriff Act. Which made the depression "worse" then FDR came in with the "New Deal" and the problems REALLY started.

Take a look at the market crash on 1920-1921 and compare that to 1929. The first one, the government did virtually nothing and it lasted one year. The second took the second world war to pull us out.

You can't borrow your way out of debt. It doesn't work.

Let me ask you, are we in agreement that housing prices are over inflated RIGHT NOW?

Sorry for the delay in response. There should be 8 year term limits on all representatives including the supreme court this will give them incentive to do their jobs. They should uphold our Constitution and Bill of Rights as a priority. They will bring in no personal agendas and if suspected of pay offs and immediate investigation would happen another incentive. Lobbying would be illegal again another personal agenda because our representative are supposed to represent us as a whole not special interest groups. The Electoral College would be eliminated because the voters elect officials not another government entity. What I think should happen at the next election at least 1 representative from every state should be replaced which would be another incentive. We don't need any more laws on the books we need to enforce the ones that exist and the death penalty brought back which will stop prison overcrowding and another incentive but absolute concrete proof that they indeed committed said murder such as what recently happened in Phila. I also believe caining should be instated in the USA what a deterrent that would be for all other crimes. Flogging and whipping has been a punishment through out all societies in history so there's no doubt who the criminal were by their scars but no system is perfect a few get by and a few are falsely accused in which the accuser should receive the same so you better be damn sure what you saw and there needs to be 2 or more witnesses. Sorry about the rambling but civil disobedience is against the law and that what we're seeing now and it's only getting worse. This is what I think would solve most problems. One more thing Arlen Spector is a demican in repulicrat clothes.

Since The Republican Party already has a lock on the far righties & has no hope of ever winning over the far lefties, & since all elections now are decided by moderates (in the middle) & since the Republican party is pushing the moderates away,.......How can the Republicans ever again be a significant political force in this country?

As I said replace them with new people new blood does not necessarily mean a demican will replace them but it will send a message to all representatives of both parties and maybe even get the independents a shot in the arm which I think in the long run will happen any way. I believe both party's are disappointed at this time at the condition of our country you have to admit that.

Government makes too many mistakes for me to advocate the death penalty. If you let the people who were only harming themselves(drug offenses) then you can worry about the murderers and rapists.
