Wait a minute, every time the market bounced when either Mr Bubble Greenspan or B-52 Ben opened their mouth, all the news was that "the Street liked..." what ever it was that they said.

So how come when the day after Obama gives a press conference on the stimulus plan, and the day Geithner DOESN'T give any details of the plan, and the Senate passes the plan, the market tanks do they not say "the Street didn't like what Obama/Geithner/the Senate had to say today...."?

My point is I don't trust Wall Street's reaction to be a good bellwether for setting this nation's policies...economic of other.

Hey everyone good news, I just heard on the nightly news that they only need about 3 or 4 trillion dollars more and all of this should be fixed and the treasury is going to be the one to put it in the till. Man what a relief to know that it's almost over and all we have to do is pay back the money that we loaned to ourselves to get out of this mess, WOW that sounds stupid, This all sounds stupid, thought all of these people where smarter than me, oh wait they are, if I would of taken somebodies money like they are I would be in jail. See they did finally get everybody to invest in the market and there laughing all the way to the bank with there withdrawal slips.

With the exception of the lies and errors he sounded very good. It's amazing that such an honest upright man can come from the Chicago political machine.

I guess I was busy reading posts on NEPACrossroads last night and didn't realize he was speaking.
I've said it before and I'll say it again,
I don't care, I burn coal now, I have my priorities in order!
Let the whole friggin thing go down the tubes, I have enough land to provide for my family, I have brother in laws that are good hunters, I have enough skills to barter labor for what I might need.
I am so sick of these guys that spend more on a pair of shoes than I spend on my monthly mortgage running my life.
I thought the first round of bailouts initiated by George "get them to panic so they wont think straight" Bush was wrong and hind site shows it did nothing but allow the rich bank presidents to become richer
Did I get a lower mortgage? NO
Did I get my credit cards paid off? NO
Did I get 0% financing so I could afford a reasonable payment on a new truck? NO Isn't that why he said they needed to pass it almost overnight?

So with all your partisan bantering what's the friggin difference between George W(annaby) and O BAMMA

By the way I am decidedly unenrolled, voted in the last 12 elections (even if there was not a contest) live in a district with a Democratic State Senator and Republican Representative and think they are both doing a GREAT job in the Liberal state of Taxachusetts who will soon be famous for having the highest gas taxes in the NATION, and yes we gave you Whitey Bulger

I am with Dann757 and ray in ma. I will make a go of it no matter what. But Devil505 had better not be buying kool aid because he is star struck with our new Jim Jones. The man can talk! But he never says anything! And his treasury hero failed not because of what he said but what he didnt say. Wall street may be a lot of things but they are not stupid.

Last night he said "Only the federal government can do it" He said" no pork would be added to any bills" Now that people found out what was in the bill he tries to redefine "PORK" . Over 50% of the bill is pork. Hitler was a great orator too and look what happened when he brought socialism in. I gave BO the benefit of doubt but so far bo's done a lot of damage every law or bill he's overturned will cost substantial money in the near future. You may be with all the others with that warm feeling running up your leg but BO ain't pulling mine. Right now on c-span their having a hearing on BO's double standards on the tax evaders he's hired. Bo has already shown his true colours. But we know how busy he is with these town meetings to FORCE HIS bill through.
If this bill is so good why are they still debating it OH thats right the democrats voted the debate is over. This bill is unconstitutional and just for argument sake why not put it before the people and put a vote on it despite ACORN"S antics oh yeah thats another 450 million. BOs actions have already spoken for themselves. HE is my president and I respect the office but the fact he has very limited experience and thats a fact. When you can honestly answer my question which you haven't yet "Where is the money coming coming from" your rhetoric about how wonderful this person whom you do not know but yet defend it will fall on deaf ears.

Bottom line is this: President Obama is an unknown but hopeful entity who hasn't had time to accomplish anything in 3 weeks, so you have to make a choice:

1. Do Nothing

2. Follow the tax cut ideas that have not helped in 8 years

3. Give President Obama & his team of intelligent thinkers a chance to turn things around.

I'm pretty sure you have already made you choice but as for me, I think the logical choice it #3.

You still avoided my question "Where's the money coming from" all other opinions are useless. When you or BO can state that then my full support will be given freely. Just because our government, Bush didn't act alone allowed this catastrophe to get out of hand doesn't license our representatives to let insanity continue. How can you ignore the fact that you can't borrow against a debt to make it go away it is impossible. But as I said you can't defend the simple truth "Where's the money coming from" ??????????
