Richard How many tons did your truck hold? I remember seeing pics of it. The guy that delivered mine last summer had a truck that only held 4 ton. The box on it was real short. It kind of looked weird. He had to make three trips to fill my bin.

Take a full load at 22-23 ton to get the best 'delivery' prices. You have to have the space and equipment to do so. $130-160/ton at the breaker, $30-70/ton trucking and some profit to the dealer or cost for your equipment. So using the Cape as a destination Superior coal would be $215/ton for 23 tons bulk. Penn coal bagged was $285/ton delivered. Bulk is $280/ton picked up in the yard delivery price depends on distance travled and amount delivered. $65/ton covers all costs involved in running the yard; tractor, scales, labor, rent and insurance. Not much of a markup nor profit to be had.
