Had a great road trip today and picked up a Gibraltar CFS. 8-)
The stove is in good shape but needs a bit of TLC.
I plan on cleaning the brass and stove in the AM.
Then the CFS will have a coal fire burning by the afternoon.....

Merry Christmas to all,

Eddie

This stove will take the place fo the Crawford for the very cold weather and then the Crawford will be back burning again in March. With the 3,000sq/ft 200+ year old farm house I needed more BTU's.
Last year I heated the house with 3 Jotul 507s and that would just do the job at 0*F.
This yearI have been heating with one Jotul 507 and The Crystal Crawford.

This mark 1 heats my whole house well. Vented through triple wall insulated chimney pipe. That black box is the base of the chimney.

Very nice. I'd recommend insulating your steam pipes though.

This is a HF 90 Keystoker fireplace insert. I have used it for two years. It gets up to a 24 burn time at the 32 degree range. But most of the time I shake and load every 12 hrs. I wont use the blower above 26 degrees. Gets too hot in my 1200 sq. ft. house. My wife and I are very happy with it. My dog Gunner, loves it!
