Carl,I get mi coal from S.M.J in Wrigley south of Grayson in Kentucky. My first year i burnt egg coal from Bramhi and didn't have the best of luck with that.I had pick my coal and get from softball size to 8inches round to 3-5 inches thick.I have had very good luck with this coal.I can get any were between 12-20 hour burn times, not much soot, better control of burn and it last a lot longer. Also their is a couple other places south of Ashland Kentucky,Redbud coal and Big Sandy Stone on Rt 23.that has block coal and they let you hand pick it,and they are open on Saturdays.
