I'm sure there is a jeep forum you could join.... if it is half as good as NEPACrossroads.... you should be able to fix any problem you have...

I've had great luck with www.automotiveforums.com

Learned a lot of things that I wouldn't have learned anywhere else.

Well, are you getting the dash indicator that it's in 4WD...Try it in Low...High...Need to find out if your front hubs have engaged or not,you could have it and if your electronic hubs have a problem, your front drive shaft would spin, but it would never make it to front wheels....4 jack stands securely placed, all 4 wheels off the ground and in the clear, and the help of a partner would be good to check this....When was the last time you had it in 4WD ?....Let us know....

There are several different Quadra systems. Some use vacuum, some hydraulic pressure and some a mechanical system for the 4X4 function. The model would help, 2000 used at least 2 separate systems.

Make sure the transfer case is filled properly. I would try it in 4 wheel drive low to make sure what's going on with it. Some of these quadra trac systems will only power the front wheels when a rear starts to spin, so you may need to find out which transfer case you have.

Those transfer cases are known to have problems.

I'm a wrangler guy and don't know much about the Grands. Most people I know swap out that transfer case for an NP231 case, fully manual. No more problems. But we are also into 4 wheeling. (my jeep is no where close to stock)

Search online for it, I know there will be days worth of reading on the subject.

When you add or change the fluids in the transfer case or transmission use the MOPAR oils from the dealer. I know of at least one person who used trans oil from an auto parts store and the trans self destructed.

There are forums that are specific to the Grand Cherokee.
