First Day of Summer 2012

Getting closer, it seems the hotter it gets the more I miss it, I know we need summer but I'm only a few miles from Lake Erie & this is the fourth day of 90" temps in a row with at least one more coming. Had a few others along the way but a 5 or 6 day stretch is rare, first time I ever saw the swamp dried up in a lot of areas even some lifetime residents say the same but then again the beavers have a dam somewhere so that could add to it some. Thankful for the AC, hope everyone that has to work outside drinks plenty of fluids & stays safe.

Heading to 100 +- here today. I'll be doing a few things outside today but hopefully inside mostly finishing a paper for school.

Haven't put the A/C's in yet so things are going to get a bit sticky.

High heat and humidity is moving in here today, I'm not happy! I'm not a hot weather person.

This is the time of year for an Alaskan Cruise......and Mt McKinley hiking!!!!! Go easy on the hayin'......guys here were out past midnight to get it loaded and under cover. 86 at 09:30, now 90! Guess the long johns will be gone now......looks pretty stupid with long johns under shorts!!! Does anybody look at you strangely, Fred? Well, I mean more strangely than they normally do? You aren't too far from Niagra Falls.....perhaps the cable is still up....that would be one way to 'cool off'.....

I am out in the sun today, but stopped to get a icey beverage......

I'll be under an '88 Trooper today rebuilding a transfer case .... outside, in direct sun, on a BLACK trailer. Should be fun!

We're at 75° right now. Yesterday hit 91°... with a 105° heat index! I was in the barn changing 19" dirt bike tires - anyone who's ever done one will tell you how much fun THAT was ... I must've lost 2 gallons of fluid out there.

Damn, I walked outside awhile ago and had a flashback. Thought I was back in GA. Then remembered that you guys don't have 6 months of this and smiled.
