Another EFM is breathing again

The install was completed a couple weeks ago on another EFM 350 purchased from Scrapper (Steve). As you can see, it's a beauty . My dad did the install, it's in an attached garage. Running great since the initial start up, cant ask for more than that. Another big thank you to Scrapper and Ann Marie, his fine work is evident in his product.

Shame on you!! Ann Marie is the producer of that Concours sheet metal work and painting. I'll thank her once again here on the forum, and Steve and Ann Marie are a great team, AND just plain darned nice folks.

Well it was burning great! Damn rock. Made it all the way to the bottom of the pot. Then bound up and snapped the shear pin. I wouldn't mind it nearly as much if it was mine, but it wasn't. Oh well, easy fix, but he was not happy. He burns Blaschak bagged coal. Must of got by quality control. Back running smooth.

Nice looking boiler and installation. Could have been worse, George, that's why they are called shear pins!

Some people use a piece of wire mesh as a screen on the top of the drum...might be a good idea for your dad.

I should start using the wire mesh screen too since I had the same problem. Lots of big coal chunks and rusty metal pieces clogging feeder tube.
