I have several friends in the Southern Cayuga County Area of central NY (approx 135 miles from Coal Country), and we all burn Rice anthracite coal.
We all get our coal from a local guy that sells stoves and coal up hear, the price is fair, considereing the area, and seems to be of average quality, but I'm not sure where he gets it from or what mine.
With so many of us burning coal, we are always talking about getting a tractor trailor load just dumped in a central location, and splitting it up from there. I believe the average tractor trailor load of bulk Rice should be around 21 tons or so. I've also heard tell of people buying a trailor load of rice coal already bagged. Bagged may cost a bit more, but would be easier to split up.
So my questions are as follows:
-Does anybody know of somebody that could deliver good quality Rice anthracite coal by the tracter trailor load to Southern Cayuga County (use zip
13071 for mileage). If so approximatly how many tons would it be?
- how could we be assured the quality is at least as good as what we have been using?
-Does anyboby know if I could get a load all bagged up?
-the last question (for now) is how much?
Thanks and let me know.
Tom
