I depends a little on making sure your max fire is set correctly. I have mine approx 8min off 50sec on. Using very little coal in this weather but my wife and daughter use a lot of hot water.

Start from scratch. Set your max feed 1st very important especially for recovery time. Make sure it is correct may take a little time. Then set your timers about 8min off and 50 sec on. I have not touched the rheostats on mine at all, they are set to full. I have my high limit set to 210 very seldom that it reaches that. My Aquastat is set 180 high and 160 low.

Actually it should be -.04 . The 6RC field controls damper has a calibrated weight on the V. As long as the weight is on the correct side of the V, the left for the T being horizontal and the right for the T being vertical as long as the damper is plumb and level putting the weight on 4 should do it. Also the boiler should come with a 460 air meter .
