Estate Heatrola Fired Up / New Chimney

The cold nights are in the forecast and for the last month I have been heating the basement and the two floors above with my Jotul 507. 3,000sq/ft with a 507 will not cut it when the temps are in the 30's at night.....So it was time to fire up the big girl!! A few pics will show how much larger the Heatrola is than the Jotul. The Chimney has 2 flues with 8x8 tiles and is 44' tall..... The Estate Heatrola has only been burning for 5 hours but it is making tons of heat!! The fire pot is very deep in the Heatrola and it still needs about 3"--4" of coal to be at the top of the fire pot. Looks like it's going to be a warm winter in the Barn......

What model is the Heatrola? My first coal stove was a Heatrola, I think the firepot was 16".

The Heatrola is large and the firepot is 15" or 16" in diameter. I will try to post some pics of the Stove and the Chimney....
I may have to reduce the size of my pics....The problem of posting pics is on my end but hope to have some soon. :oops:

This stove stands about four and a half feet tall.

The heatrola is 52" tall 25" wide and 24" deep.
By the way this stove makes just a bit more heat than the Jotul 507. :roll:

I don't know the btu's rating of the Heatrola, but it could out perform the Hitzer that replaced it...of course the Hitzer had a lot better manners on warm days and the grate system was more aggressive.

Pretty cool Eddie! When did you get the "ola"? You come up with some cool stoves. Won't be long and you'll (and me) have that MO116 cooking too.

By the way, if you are running windows, just FYI, you can get the microsoft power toys image resizer for free on line. It's really quick and simple right click, choose the size (I use medium for most pix on line) and you get a resized image. It can replace the original or not and you can also type in custom sizes.

Hey Steve, I picked up the Heatrola over the summer on CL Maine. Emery @ The Stove Hospital gave me a list of stoves that have a high BTU output.
The Heatrola and a Glenwood 5000 were at the top of his list. This stove does make HEAT!!!!
Wish I still had the Glenwood Mordern Oak #116 but had to sell it....Needed the $$$ for my new house and divorce. Your Glenwood sure looks great!
I will have to get the microsoft image resizer....The problem with the pic download may be with the WiFi hotspot on my Cell phone. I dont have a very strong signal at the house.

Hey Eddie, Sorry to hear that you had to sell the MO 116 but glad you have the Ola to make up for it. It's pretty much the same size pot so should work pretty well. Hope all is well and the new house works out great for you.

This Heatrola is a model #3 F.
