Convection Fan Mounting/Alaska Hearth model

I purchased a used Alaska Console Hearth model. It had a convection fan mounted on the right side of the unit with duct directing the air to the top back of the unit. I purchased a standard Alaska convection fan and was wondering exactly how that mounts in the top back of the unit. Can anyone share a photo or something to help?

I am not familiar with your model but am wondering if you could look up a parts diagram showing the relationship of the parts. It just may give you an idea. Good Luck. Mike

From looking at the installation manual online for the Kast Console model you apparently have, it appears you have the same convection blower as does the Channing series. It's a squirrel cage blower, with air entering from the side, and exitting through a rectangular outlet on the top (or curved part, whatever it's called).

On my Channing, the blower mounts with the exit facing upwards, on the back side of the stove, at the lower left (when viewed from the rear). Two bolts is all that hold it. It's relatively easy to install and uninstall.

I'd provide a picture of it, but I have added custom ductwork and inline blowers to circulate house-air and no longer use the standard 275 CFM blower that came with the stove.
