Can a harman DVC 500 use a regular chimney?

Looking for a stove for a house we are flipping. Do you have to use the direct vent with the Harman DVC 500?

No you don't need a direct vent for that model - you can have whatever you wish, as long as it's pulling draft.

The DVC-500 requires the direct vent "Square" pipe out the side of the house. It cannot be vented up a standard chimney.
The Harman Magnum uses a standard chimney flu.

it can be done,but you must separate your exhaust from your intake or combustion air.your o.e.m. square duct takes in outside air thru the outer opening and exhausts via the 4 inch round pipe inside the duct,if you are handy and sensible,you can handle it
