does anybody like Nascar!

Lost interest somewhat in racing in general when I quit it in 93. Had some interest in NASCAR till Dale was killed. Then came the P.C. bull that has killed the sport. Now they have to throw a lot of hype to get people to watch. Sad!

Long time fan. Since I used DuPont paint at the time he came about, I have been a Gordo fan.

A little scary for him on the shootout but he definitely caused that wreck.

Hate his attitude but Kyle Busch can do incredible things behind the wheel.

It has been interesting watching and listening between the lines of this industry. Dale's death in 2001 revealed just how close ALL of the drivers are. People get all hyped up over the races. But after listening to everything after Dale died, you found out a lot about how all the drivers interact with each other. The Gordon and Earnhart battles.......a lot of hype but those 2 really got along well. Gordon admitted how much Dale helped him as he was starting. Then you heard later how much the Earnharts and the Hendricks interacted. And that led to Dale Jr. getting hired by Rick Hendrick.

Now it appears that Hendrick is supplying a lot of motors to a lot of teams.

It appears that it is all a big choreographed show at this time. But still fun to watch................

And it looks like Daytona is back to the races of old. I just hope we don't lose anyone in the big one that is sure to happen at least once or twice.

Went to Bristol for years. Whole package from the camping to the race was amazing.

But the racing changed, the camping changed. Just not as enjoyable as in the past. So haven't been back for several years. We used to pay a premium for tickets, now there are tickets still available on race day.

I enjoy catching a race every once in a while, but I don't go out of my way to watch. I'd like to go back to Bristol some day.

I really enjoy dirt track racing. I'd rather watch a good dirt track race over Nascar anyday!!

Seems like anything that acquires big money sponsership, tends to lose a lot of appeal for the working grunt. Just one old guys thoughts.
