Menards or local home Depot

You would think that these stores wouuld sell coal or offer to ship it to the other stores when a customer wanted it.
With there trucking fleet any one could have coal locally availble. What am i missing here caint belive if this was not possible they would be doing allready.

Because the profit on wood pellets is a whole lot more than coal and coal is BAD just ask Al Gore. Anybody can burn wood, It's takes smarts to burn coal. Look how many wood burners have switched to coal, They got smart and came to the dark side.

While coal is big business it is also a business of loyalty to all of the small companies that sell coal and coal stoves. If the coal companies would decide to sell their coal through the large building supply companies it would put a great deal of people out of work. There are a great deal of family owned stove companies, feed mills and other companies that count on coal sales. As you read all of the posts on this site you can see that there is brotherhood and a great deal of loyalty between coal people. It is one of the few last remaining businesses that stay loyal to the small companies that sell our products.

Ok then that must include China in the brotherhood which seams to me creates more demand and raises are prices. Granted they buy more than the few of us living out in the sticks.
With coal to are east and west but to far to get localy.
China closer?
A tracktor trailor load would be nice but not many of us can afford it.
The westeren coal would long break down before we even used it all up.

No offence taken. Keep in mind that the cost of transportation is paid by the buyer and not the seller. In your reference that would be China.

cb, welcome to the real world. In this case the USA is making money off China instead of them making money off us. Nothing personal, just business. I have never had trouble with my local, small coal dealor getting BLASCHAK & thier prices remain very fair in my opinion. Plus, I have never had a quality problem.

What is the price of blaschak in bulk per ton?

The price of bulk or bagged coal is going to depend on your location and what your local dealer is charging. More than glad to refer you to one of the dealers in your area if you wanted. I would just need your location. The location is important in the pricing since transportations costs will affect what the dealer needs to charge.
