Yes the blower works and the holes are there for the glass does it take the same gasket as the door

Not 100% on the glass My Hitzer takes a flat gasket folded over the glass so it catches both sides of glass

They where great I went last night and took a 6 hour round trip and got everything I needed this weekend I will be firing up the stove

Make sure you wire brush all those gasket channels & where they hit on the stove--hopefully you'll do a real good clean up on the old girl--looking fwd to pix of the new & improved version. ;)

I was thinking about getting some paint too but want to make sure its works good before i invest more into it

s a spring job with plenty of open windows & fans :) It's hardly ever about the stove, it's about the operator-- toothy She'll do ya just fine. ;)

I replaced all the seal and cleaned all the ash out of her and set back in place now just need to bring in some coal tomorrow and fire her up

i will check draft tomorrow and screw smoke pipe I have my fingers crossed

my only concern is that the last owner had a insurance claim from a puff back and i cant figure out why and not sure how long ago and if it was not used after that

It's so nice to see it working I have a funny smell when I lit it up and it's been running for a couple of hours now and it's going away

SO for the first night the basement was 76 when i woke up but i have a couple of ?? what should be the idea stack temp and draft


I just checked draft and it was .05 and the damper is closed but i also just filled the stove and the temp is 140 right now

and another question how much coal do i put in the stove last night i put about 6 inches in which was about a 5 gallon bucket and a half

Right up to the top of the front fire brick--is that fire box that bid--60lbs or so???? there's no hopper on that is there??? You're only tending once a day??? A bucket & a half don't sound all that bad for a 24 hr period. Lot of questions huh! Ya Know I'm just a nosey old farmer. toothy All & all--sounds good so far

stupid question more coal more heat i know im a plumber/hvac service tech but new to the coal thing

not sure how much coal i need to weight a 5 gallon bucket full of coal
