Aquastat Setting

I'm usuing a L6006 Aquastat to control my dump zone on my boiler. Should I put the stop at around 220 and dial that you adjust with a screw driver to around 170? Or maybe I have this all wrong. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Are you talking about the factory stop, leave that alone. I would set the temperature around 205-210, at sea level water boils at 212 plus under pressure you raise the boiling point. Some have an adjustable differential that would be the amount of temperature fall below the set point where it shuts off.
