Where to buy coal?

The price I got was $385/ton, I think that's high. I found a place in central Ct about an hour and a half from me for $295/ton bagged.

I think you misheard or someone was answering the phone that wasn't a regular. It's $285/ton regardless of what size. I got my delivery just after Thanksgiving. $40 for delivery.

And whereabouts is "Bridgeton"? I know we have a lot of little towns, but I never heard that one before.

Bridgeton is northwest Burrillville, a little past Pascoag.

I need a ton of Chestnut Coal. Who has the best price? I'm in N.RI. With all the coal in this country you would think we could get a more reasonable price. Thanks

With all the oil in this country you'd think that would be cheaper too.

Does anyone know of a dealer that sells buckwheat size coal? My LL110 boiler can burn that as well as rice...id like to try it, but no one seems to carry it...

Not many options here. I think Cranston only goes as low as rice.

He has a Keystoker K6 heating that place so he has it on hand.

Price of Coal? Since Peoples Coal closed and what a shame! I have always bought my coal from Cranston Coal. Found them to have the best price every-time. Right now I think their at $287.00 a ton picked up.

No dealer in our area carries buck. Cranston Coal has some Rice/Buck mix in bags. My boiler didn't like it at all! Very high ash and low output. I had to pick up a couple hundred pounds before I could get to NEPA and picked up from Jeddo when I ran out of Blashak. Man that stuff made me wish for Blashak, I nearly doubled my usage and quadrupled my ashes.

What is the amount of 'Buck' you guys need? Bulk TT load? TT load of 18 pallets, 2400 lbs each? How about a 50/50 mix? You CAN get what you want, if you know who to ask.
Some of us know who and what to ask.
