It was going great... Until the acorn nut disappeared off the feeder rod!! Of course the rod came lose and the carpet plate wasn't moving... No moving, no coal, no coal, no fire. So, from about 8am til 3pm yesterday I was running to the store for a new nut (ended up with a wing-nut, since no one seems to carry acorns in that size, go figure... you'd think I have enough "nuts" in this town, but I just couldn't find the right one...), running back to the store for the starter stuff because none of my home-made ideas were working, and in between feeding my brother lunch (he's putting siding on my house) and taking care of all the other little jobs that go with having kids and pets and a house. I got it running about the time my brother came in to have a look at it (he always did have great timing), and finally sat down around 3:30 to do my college homework... and my neighbor showed up with her two kids *cough*obnoxiousbrats*cough*, looking for my kids to babysit.

So, all told, I have TODAY to get three illustrations completed, two math assignments, and an essay. No problem, right? I'm a mom, I can handle this... as long as the nut doesn't fall off the tree again today...
