Well if the Republicrates can find “a pair” among themselves they will counter the offer of the POTUS with $400 billion in spending cuts now and 1.6 trillion in future unspecified tax increases to take effect in 2020. Sounds like a winner for the middle class.

This is exactly why I have lost hope. I have resigned myself to just prepare for the worst, because now I can pretty much guarantee it's coming. Our politicians are inept, blind, and hopelessly stupid. There is ZERO hope in our government - what hope there is, is drowned out by "Pelosi-ism".

I think there should be an emergency session called & both sides should be there for nothing else but this. Give them a specified date & if not reached it's off the cliff we go, if I lose my couple dollars in SS increase so be it but the Houses should lose the couple of grand each they got by the same method as well. The country will survive either way & the people will know where the Gov. priorities lie for sure. If you think about it the country was doing way better before the cuts, two wars & the medicare script plan that were never funded. The so called job creators created all the jobs elsewhere, they got to make everything idiot proof.

I think we should withhold there pay until they can produce...we should do this on all that congress does...if you don't produce, you don't get paid!

Do Not worry, if you make more than 1/4 $ mil. a year, your back is covered. offer up closing tax loopholes instead, John B. hint middle class, lose your mortgage interest deduction, I voted democrat for all of the other middle class struggling people, but some people erroneously think republican politicians are looking out for the average American, wow were you all fooled.!.
