There have to be some closer places to you, & the price should be good since your not all that far from the sources. There should be some listed, have you tried doing a search of past posts (upper right corner)?
I'm over towards the Ohio line & there have to be some suppliers between you & I. Could be I have my Somerset's mixed up or there is more than one in Pa., that has to be a fair drive as well, I'd let my fingers do the walking for a while. http://www.google.com/#hl=en&sugexp=les ... 00&bih=773
looking to buy rice coal not mine run. I checked with them in Punxys and the want $220.00. I used to buy their mine run screened coal for my outdoor boiler. So far $200.00 is best I can find locally. Thanks
Oh, I thought you were looking for bit, not anthracite. $200/ton for anth in western PA is a decent price. Yup, valier carries reading anthracite and they charge 220 or so a ton. Valier doesn't just carry ROM (run of mine) bituminous though, they have nut AND Lump house coal.
Couple of places in State College area if you wanted to come this way. Actually there is a guy in Snow Shoe too, would be closer to DuBois. I get mine at Shope's in Bellefonte, running around $220 a ton also. Should be cheaper than that, but it never is.
